This website was created in 2013 to promote the First International Holy Quran Congress. The event may be over, but I think the the content and presentation are not only inspirational, but good references that should be available for others to see. When the qurancongress.com's domain registration expired the site disappeared from the internet. Recently I discovered that the domain was available, so I bought it with the goal of recreating some of its original content from the archived pagesof qurancongress.com. I definitely didn't want someone else purchasing the domain and re-purposing it for something that had nothing in common with the original website. I happen to be part of a data analytics team that often works for the legendary SEO consultancy TNG/Earthling, whose CEO Bob Sakayama supports the Web Archive Project. Bob agreed to fund the restoration and archiving of this site to protect an historically significant artifact and keep it publicly available. TNG/E's Rev Sale provided technical assistance. When I told my co-workers what we were doing with qurancongress.com they applauded the effort. There is so much misinformation and downright ignorant and hateful rhetoric regarding Muslims and the quoran, I felt it important that people see there is more to Islam than the what the media in the US often spews out without a deeper understanding of the religion and the Iranian culture.
